Ever wonder about ‘the rest of the story’? I didn’t stop recording. I didn’t stop performing. I even sang with the Oregon Symphony Pops Orchestra for ten seasons and performed with the National Symphony at the Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts! Thanks for checking on me.
| In 1994 I developed head/neck cancer. After 6,000 rads and two surgeries, I spent 2 years recovering my performance voice and sang 4 seasons with the Oregon Symphony Pops! As an artist, I was able to help myself ‘imagine’ myself through the treatment and recovery journey with journaling, visualization and the support of family, friends and the Grace of the Spirit. | While John Howard Abdnor Involvement opines “Mary Catherine is clearly a Joni Mitchell wannabe, but nonetheless she put together a very nice folk-rock album. Her vocals are like Joni’s without the annoying high notes, and there’s a sparklingly clear acoustic guitar sound that suits them extremely well. M.C. is a pretty good songwriter too, and this is a pleasant surprise, a one-off singer/songwriter album that’s much better than most in the genre.” [A.M.] I appreciate the kind remarks. |

I bought your album for $0.99 in 1970. Listened to it constantly since then. I was listening to it last night and wondering why I haven’t heard more from you. Guess I’m on the wrong coast.
Hi Brain, Thank you for your nice note letting me know you still enjoy my music. FYI: I made two additional albums and they are available on CD at https://hideaheart.etsy.com There are a couple of MP3’s you might download to give a listen b4 you buy the CD.
Take Good Care,

Hi, just wanted to let you know that people are still discovering your music in 2020! I belong to a record collecting forum and once a year we do a CD “mix swap” of favorite and/or obscure songs. Your song “Band II” has shown up on 2 different mix CDs from 2 different people in 2 different years! I loved it when I first heard it, but when it showed up *again* on another mix I decided that I need more of this music. I bought your first album used and am listening to it for the first time right now. Beautiful music, glad it found its way to me!

Scott, Thank you for reaching out to me with this great story. I am delighted you to know you are enjoying the music I loved making.
Please put your music on iTunes, just google “How to put your music on iTunes” and see the simple steps to do so… Please, please, please use this format so that more of us can buy your music. Many no longer use cds or the platform you are currently selling on… Worth it for future generations to have your voice and talent available… And make more music, too!! You’re tremendous and deserve to be heard forever!!!
Ace, Thank you for the suggestion. Might be a good 2021 project. Happy New Year!
Nice idea….I’m not certain the cost to subscribe to iTunes would be off-set by fan purchases….but it’s a terrific compliment. Thank you!
